My Morris Minor.

This is “Monte”, my new old Morris Minor.

I recently bought him from another Morris fan here in Somerville where I live who also belongs to The Morris Minor Car Club of Victoria who has got 9 Morris’s.

Monte is a 1953 Series II Low Lite with an 803 ohv motor and a 5 speed box. He’s 56 years old, 1 year older than me so I know how he feels!!

Monte is in excellent condition and is all original both under the bonnet and body wise.

His top speed without pushing him is 40 mph or 65 kph, a bit slow for the free way although I have had the old chap up to 50mph or 80 kph.

Monte is a great addition to the Turner household giving us opportunities to go to car meets together, which is so much fun.
